Description

Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps are a delicious and easy-to-make meal featuring tender shredded chicken combined with a blend of mozzarella, cheddar, and cream cheese, seasoned with garlic and onion powders, and wrapped in warm, toasted flour tortillas. Enhanced with a garlic butter brush and optional fresh veggies, these wraps are perfect for a quick lunch or dinner that’s both flavorful and satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked shredded or chopped chicken
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup softened cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon dried

Wraps

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Optional

  • Baby spinach, shredded lettuce, or sliced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, shredded mozzarella, shredded cheddar, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and chopped parsley. Mix everything thoroughly until the mixture is creamy and cohesive.
  2. Assemble the wraps: Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface. Divide the chicken and cheese filling evenly, spooning about one-quarter of the mixture onto the center of each tortilla. If desired, add optional veggies such as baby spinach, shredded lettuce, or sliced tomatoes. Fold the sides of the tortillas inward and roll them tightly from the bottom to form neat wraps.
  3. Make garlic butter brush: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and minced garlic. Mix well to create a flavorful garlic butter glaze.
  4. Toast the wraps: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Generously brush the outside of each wrap with the garlic butter mixture. Place each wrap seam-side down in the hot skillet. Toast for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until the wraps are golden brown, crisp, and the cheese inside has melted.
  5. Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet and slice each in half. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce such as ranch dressing or garlic aioli for an extra flavor boost.

Notes

  • You can substitute cooked rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • Feel free to add other fresh veggies like bell peppers or cucumbers for extra crunch.
  • The garlic butter can be adjusted in quantity to your taste preference.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free tortillas.
  • Leftover filling can be refrigerated and used within 2 days.
