Description

Garlic Knot Chicken Parm Sliders combine soft, buttery garlic knots with tender, saucy chicken and melted cheeses, creating a delicious handheld version of classic chicken parm. Perfect for parties or a comforting meal, these sliders feature a garlic-parsley butter finish and an easy baked preparation.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough and Sliders

  • 1 can (8 count) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

Topping

  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking the garlic knots.
  2. Prepare Chicken Mixture: In a bowl, mix your shredded or chopped cooked chicken with marinara sauce until the chicken is evenly coated. Set this mixture aside for filling the sliders.
  3. Prepare Baking Sheet: Lightly grease the parchment-lined baking sheet with olive oil or nonstick spray to prevent the knots from sticking during baking.
  4. Shape and Bake Knots: Separate the biscuit dough into individual pieces and roll each piece into a small rope. Tie each rope into simple knots and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the knots turn golden brown.
  5. Assemble Sliders: Once the knots have slightly cooled enough to handle, slice each knot in half horizontally. Place a spoonful of the marinara-coated chicken and a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese on the bottom half of each knot. Top with the other half to form sliders.
  6. Melt Cheese: Return the assembled sliders to the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until the cheese melts and the sliders are heated through.
  7. Prepare Garlic Butter and Finish: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic and chopped fresh parsley. Brush this garlic-parsley butter generously over the warm tops of each slider and then sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over them.
  8. Serve: Serve the garlic knot chicken parm sliders immediately, with warm marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Use refrigerated biscuit dough for easy shaping and baking, but homemade dough can work as well.
  • Shredded rotisserie chicken is a convenient and flavorful option.
  • Be careful not to overbake the knots initially as they will bake again after assembly.
  • Brush the garlic butter while the sliders are warm for maximum flavor absorption.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy the melty cheese and soft garlic knots at their best.
