Pizza Roll Ups
- 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
- 1/2 cup of marinara or pizza sauce
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 16 slices of pepperoni
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray and set it aside.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 individual triangles.
- Add Sauce: Spread about 1 tablespoon of marinara or pizza sauce over each crescent triangle, covering most of the surface.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle around a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauced area on each triangle.
- Add Pepperoni: Place two slices of pepperoni on the wide end of each triangle, distributing evenly.
- Roll Up: Carefully roll up each crescent starting at the wide end and rolling toward the point, ensuring the toppings stay inside.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each roll to allow for expansion.
- Prepare Topping: In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and garlic powder. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the tops of each roll-up.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving warm. Optionally, serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Use refrigerated crescent roll dough for the best texture and easy handling.
- You can substitute pepperoni with cooked sausage, ham, or make it vegetarian by omitting the meat.
- Serve with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
- For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the Parmesan topping mix.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for best results.
