Description

These Kids’ Lunch Pizza Roll Ups are a fun and easy-to-make snack or meal perfect for picky eaters. Made with crescent roll dough, marinara sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, and a flavorful Parmesan and herb topping, they bake up golden and cheesy in just under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Roll Ups

  • 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
  • 1/2 cup of marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 16 slices of pepperoni
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray and set it aside.
  2. Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 individual triangles.
  3. Add Sauce: Spread about 1 tablespoon of marinara or pizza sauce over each crescent triangle, covering most of the surface.
  4. Add Cheese: Sprinkle around a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauced area on each triangle.
  5. Add Pepperoni: Place two slices of pepperoni on the wide end of each triangle, distributing evenly.
  6. Roll Up: Carefully roll up each crescent starting at the wide end and rolling toward the point, ensuring the toppings stay inside.
  7. Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each roll to allow for expansion.
  8. Prepare Topping: In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, and garlic powder. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the tops of each roll-up.
  9. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving warm. Optionally, serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Use refrigerated crescent roll dough for the best texture and easy handling.
  • You can substitute pepperoni with cooked sausage, ham, or make it vegetarian by omitting the meat.
  • Serve with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the Parmesan topping mix.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for best results.
