Description
Celebrate the holidays with this elegant Mistletoe Snowflake Cranberry Champagne recipe featuring festive cranberry-apple juice ice cubes infused with fresh rosemary, topped with chilled champagne or sparkling apple cider for a refreshing, bubbly, and visually stunning cocktail or mocktail.
Ingredients
Scale
Ice Cubes
- 1 cup Fresh Cranberries
- 6 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
- 1/2 cup Cranberry Juice Cocktail
- 1/2 cup Apple Juice
Drink
- 1 bottle (750 ml) Champagne, chilled (Mocktail Version: Sparkling Apple Cider)
Instructions
- Prepare Cranberry Ice Cubes: Place about 12 fresh cranberries into each ice cube mold to symbolize the 12 days of Christmas or your preferred amount for a festive look.
- Fill Molds with Juice: Pour cranberry juice cocktail into each mold until it is halfway full, then top off with apple juice, leaving some space at the top to allow for expansion when freezing.
- Add Rosemary Sprigs: Insert one sprig of fresh rosemary into each mold to imbue the ice cubes with aromatic flavor and add visual appeal.
- Freeze: Carefully place the filled molds into the freezer and let freeze completely overnight or for at least 8 hours until solid.
- Serve: Once frozen, gently remove the mistletoe ice cubes from the molds and place them into cocktail glasses prepared for serving.
- Pour Champagne or Sparkling Apple Cider: Top off each glass with chilled champagne for an alcoholic version or sparkling apple cider for a festive mocktail alternative.
- Enjoy and Store: Drink immediately for best taste and presentation. Store any unused ice cubes in the freezer for up to five days, keeping in mind that the rosemary may wilt over time.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute sparkling apple cider for champagne.
- You can adjust the number of cranberries per mold according to your preferences or glass size.
- Ensure you leave space in the molds to allow the liquid to expand when freezing to prevent spills.
- The rosemary sprigs add fragrance and look but may lose firmness if stored too long frozen.
- Serve immediately after adding champagne or cider to maintain carbonation and flavor.
