Description

These Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese Wraps combine rich, cheesy macaroni and tender pulled pork wrapped in a crispy tortilla, making for a comforting and convenient meal. Perfectly cooked in a panini press or skillet, they offer a delightful mix of smoky, cheesy, and crunchy flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Wrap Ingredients

  • 2 burrito-sized tortillas

Filling Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 4 ounces plain pulled pork, cooked and shredded
  • 1/2 cup cooked macaroni and cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded triple cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tortillas: Place each tortilla on a plate or cutting board. Using a sharp knife, cut a slit from the outer edge of the tortilla towards the middle without cutting beyond the center.
  2. Add Barbecue Sauce to Bottom Left: Spread 1 tablespoon of barbecue sauce in the bottom left corner of the tortilla to build flavor.
  3. Add Sauce and Pulled Pork to Top Left: Spread another tablespoon of barbecue sauce on the top left corner, then layer 2 ounces of shredded pulled pork over it.
  4. Add Macaroni and Cheese: Spoon 1/4 cup of heated cooked macaroni and cheese onto the top right corner of the tortilla.
  5. Add Shredded Cheese: Sprinkle half of the shredded triple cheddar cheese over the bottom right corner.
  6. Fold the Wrap: Starting from the bottom left corner, fold the tortilla clockwise over the fillings to create a compact wrap. Repeat with the second tortilla and fillings.
  7. Cook the Wraps: Heat a panini press or a skillet with a little butter. Place the wraps inside and cook until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side if using a skillet.
  8. Serve: Cut each wrap in half diagonally and serve immediately, while hot and melty.

Notes

  • Use warm cooked macaroni and cheese to ensure the cheese melts nicely inside the wrap.
  • If you don’t have a panini press, a hot skillet works well—press the wrap gently with a spatula.
  • Adjust the amount of barbecue sauce to taste depending on how saucy you prefer your wraps.
  • To keep the tortillas from tearing while folding, soften them by warming briefly before assembling.
  • These wraps can be customized with additional fillings like jalapeños or caramelized onions for extra flavor.
