Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Teriyaki Chicken Burger featuring juicy grilled chicken breasts marinated in flavorful teriyaki sauce, served on toasted hamburger buns with fresh lettuce, tomato, and cucumber toppings. Perfect for a quick and tasty meal in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Marinade

  • 3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • Low-sodium soy sauce (optional, for marinade enhancement)

Burger Components

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Fresh lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Cucumber slices

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a shallow dish and pour 1/2 cup of teriyaki sauce over them. Optionally add a splash of low-sodium soy sauce to enhance flavor. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the chicken to soak up the flavors.
  2. Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high, approximately 375°F (190°C), ensuring the grate is clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
  3. Grill the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off, and place on the hot grill. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, turning once, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is fully cooked with nice grill marks.
  4. Toast the Buns: While the chicken cooks, slice and place the hamburger buns cut-side down on the grill. Toast them until they are golden brown and lightly crispy.
  5. Assemble the Burgers: Place each grilled chicken breast on a toasted bun bottom. Layer with fresh lettuce, slices of tomato, and cucumber as desired. Top with the bun halves.
  6. Serve: Serve the teriyaki chicken burgers immediately to enjoy the optimal fresh flavors and textures.

Notes

  • Marinating time can be extended up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
  • Ensure chicken is cooked thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) to guarantee food safety.
  • Customize toppings as desired—add avocado, onions, or your favorite condiments.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can also cook the chicken on a stovetop grill pan or bake in the oven at 375°F for 25-30 minutes.
